Self Description: I was in medical school in LA for two years. I was so impressed by how women were respected in the western culture. Things are much different here in China. Back then, my father was still alive and he really wanted me to marry someone who can benefit our family business, so I settled with a man who was violent but could bring huge benefit to our family business. He was the biggest mistake I've ever made in my life. But I didn't have a choice back then. In families in china, father is the ultimate decision maker. Daughters had to accept arranged marriages. My father was good to me in every other aspect in life, but he would have never allowed me to pick my own husband. I finally ended my marriage with my ex husband after putting up with his violence for many years and I am so ready to find a man who knows how to treat a woman right. I am a good woman. I never fight and expect the same from my future husband.
